Als versierter Skifahrer war ich skeptisch, ob man wirklich eine Kontrolle über den ScoopJet hat und auch steilere Passagen sicher fahren kann.
Aber ich muss sagen ich bin vollends überzeugt. Super Kontrolle, bei hohem Adrenalinpegel und tatsächlich so etwas wie Sitzkomfort.
Gerade im Vergleich zum Zipfelbob ein gewaltiger Sprung und der ist im Vergleich zu einem traditionellen Schlitten schon absolut überlegen.

Unser Scoopjet (hab ich meinem Mann mal zu Weihnachten geschenkt) ist schon ein paar Jahre in gebrauch und weil wir nur einen hatten, haben wir uns immer mal nen anderen Zipfelbob von Freunden geliehen.
Fand ich eigentlich super weil ich so auch andere Modelle testen konnte.
Ich hätte mir ja gerne nen günstigeren gekauft aber ich muss gestehen das mir kein anderer so viel Spaß macht zu fahren wie der SJ. Lenkbarkeit und Reichweite bei einer Abfahrt sind einfach unschlagbar.
Ein riesen Spaß wars bei unserem letzten Firmenausflug:
Nach unserem Hatsch auf die Hütte hab ich sie bei der Abfahrt alle abgehängt,...auch Überholmanöver in engen Kurven lassen sich super damit fahren.

Test 1 - Tobogganing with children (approx. 20 meters toboggan slope).
Here the kids can toboggan...but what you notice here already, it gets fast😉.
The action camera mounted on the shaft and captured many emotions of the children. As an adult, you can guess the difference to a Zipfelbob.
Conclusion: Mega fun for big and small ones!

Just awesome...of course you have to overcome the fear, because it is already fast and you also need a little practice so that it works like in the videos.... so who is winter sports Affin and can "carve" with skis or snowboard, for sure even more awesome.
But you will be really fast... so as always in winter sports "helmet on" !!!
A prepared track is nice, if there is too much fresh snow, it is harder to "carve".

1. sitting position:
Sit normally on it...both hands on the shaft and lean back as far as the arms are long. So automatically come up the legs and even tall people over 190cm can easily ride it.

2. brakes
The bob has a braking edge at the back. To brake, simply place your feet flat on the slope and pull the bob upwards with momentum and keep it on the edge. This also works very well on steeper slopes. Turning crossways, as on skis and a snowboard, also works on less steep sections.

3. steering
Yes, you can steer the bobsleigh. As the advertising promises, it has edges on the sides, and I tried to stop it at the end of the 20m toboggan hill and it worked!
It works even better on the longer run. An example of a left turn maneuver: Shift your weight to the left and take your left arm off the control stick. The bob pulls slightly to the left.
If I lean further into the turn and push the control stick to the left to ride on the carving edges, it pulls more to the left. The pressure of the hand on the snow supports the movement.

What else there is to know:
You can loosen the shaft with the help of the screw in the front. This way it takes up less space. When the ScoopJet is "assembled" for the first time, knock the shaft into the ScoopJet with momentum and screw it tight. But I always leave it on.
So, winter has a new fan. Me...hope it lasts a few more weeks....
150 EUR seems for a few a lot...but it's worth it. In comparison to ski or snowboard equipment it is the cheapest solution to enjoy the slopes. From the other perspective, a good sled or Zipfelbob/Minibob also costs around 80 EUR up to some hundreds of Euros...but you can neither control nor brake or carve.
